Lord, Still in Thy Hand ======================= w: Lorna B. Gray, 2012 m: Bob Sorem, 2012 [Verse 1] I sit here Lord, still in Thy hand. My world has changed~~ You understand the waters still uncharted yet. I'm glad it's You my sail has set. The city throbs with rushing life~~ folk swept along in fun or strife. The jumbo jets rise to the sky; staff whisk about and here am I. [Verse2] I've heard the dreadful "cancer" word. My world has changed since that occurred. I flounder in an unknown swell. Please, Father, whisper "All is well." [Verse 3] I search the drawers for Bible text but there is none and I am vexed. Yet then, I feel Thy Presence near, Most Holy One who loves me dear'. My mind is clearing from its shock~~ stunned when I hit the "cancer rock." My gunnels sank down to the brine and scattered all those thoughts of mine. [Verse 4] But I have promise Thou wilt keep e'en though I pass through waters deep that never will my boat o'erflow though storms arise and calm seas go. And far from taunting hating ones who've bullied me 'neath moons and suns, I rest at ease and feel endowed with silver lining to the cloud. [Verse 5] And, though a sword has pierced my heart it's only now I really start (as thoughts of many are revealed) to know how many want me healed. Such love is soothing me like balm and in the tempest brings me calm. Please, Father, write it in The Book~~ the loving trouble each one took. [Verse 6] Reward them, please, though least I be. It's like they've done it unto Thee. So, even those who wander blind, please credit them with being kind.
